West Virginia-based Jackson Kelly PLLC will open an office in the city.  Evansville is Jackson Kelly’s second Indiana location. The firm opened an Indianapolis office last July.

Jackson Kelly CEO Michael D. Foster said the expansion into Evansville is in response to continued client needs.

After a 13 month search, a new director has been named for the Evansville Convention and Visitor's Bureau.

Community members and the CVB say Bob Warren will not only bring more people to Evansville but will also re-establish the public's trust for the CVB.

SWIRCA & More taking applicatons for senior nutrition program

SWIRCA & More will be accepting applications for the Indiana Senior Farmer's Market Nutrition Program on behalf of the Indiana State Department of Heath.  The program provides access to locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables to seniors, age 60 and older, who meet income requirements. 

Approved applicants will receive a book of vouchers for the amount of $18 to be used at the local farmer's markets in Evansville, as well as Gibson and Posey Counties.

Local attorney becomes National Certified Guardian

The executive director of Guardianship Service of Southwestern Indiana, Inc., a non-profit guardianship provider has recently completed the process necessary to become a National Certified Guardian (NCG), making her the only certified Guardian in Vanderburgh County.

Guardians serve as representatives for persons rendered incapacitated through physical or mental disability.
