'Old Town' brings new option to downtown Evansville | News
EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE)- There's a new place to get a color and cut in downtown Evansville.
It's called 'Old Town' and this isn't your every day barber shop.
Old Town is at 400 2nd Street.
What's unique about this salon is its style.
From the old parlor chairs to the old cash register, the shop takes you back to a simpler time.
Nicholas Goodman and his wife Joann opened for business today, after working over a year renovating the property.
They say they're excited to bring their business and hopefully some new faces to downtown Evansville.
"I hope I start a trend. I hope people see all the empty buildings and the potential for them and want to something else, too. We need everything down here. We need a place to get a haircut, a place to get a slice of pizza, groceries. Anything you start down here you can't go wrong with," said Goodman.
They cater to guys and gals. They take appointments and walk-ins.
They're open Tuesday-Thursday 10am-7pm.
They're also open Friday and Saturday 10am-5pm.
