Identities of stabbing victims released; suspect still at-large | News
EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE)- Evansville Police have identified the victims of the triple stabbing Wednesday afternoon.
They are 24-year-old Dante E. Ray, 21-year-old Deandre Issac Kendrick Stalling, and 22-year-old Rondre Casinova Cook, all from Evansville.
Police are still looking for the suspect, Tavon Burns. Anyone with information about this case or Burns' location is asked to call 812-436-7979.
The victims were stabbed on Madison avenue in Evansville. Investigators were on the scene shortly after it happened. Officers say blood spots and personal items were found in the street.
Police say Burns got into an argument with a man Wednesday afternoon and started stabbing the victim. Two others rushed to help and officers say they were also stabbed.
Police say two of the victims have stab wounds to the head but are doing well. Investigators say the third is in serious condition after suffering serious cuts to the stomach. They were all taken to St. Mary's Hospital. There has not been an update on their conditions so far today.
Burns has been arrested for his connection in violent crimes in the past, that includes an armed robbery back in 2009 that left a clerk assaulted.
