Want to walk but prefer some copnay?  Join Deaconess and a local radio station for the A Healthier You Walk on Saturday, April 6 at Sunset Park in Downtown Evansville near the tennis courts. Be ready to walk at 9 a.m.

It’s time to dust off your tennis shoes and get ready to move. Deaconess and WIKY/HOT96 are partnering again this year for the Healthier U walks and you are invited to attend.  It's free and no special gear is required.  Just show up ready to walk.

The National Week of Prayer for the Healing of AIDS is coming to an end, and in Evansville those involved will wrap things up with a Fashion Extravaganza.

Below is the March 2013 calendar for blood pressure screening sites offered by the Chronic Disease Program of the Vanderburgh County Health Department.           

The Health Department also offers diabetes prevention packets, physical activity packets, and blood glucose testing for diabetes at its office. Anyone interested should call 435-5015 for an appointment.  As always these services, including blood glucose testing, are free.
