Downtown Evansville Farmer's Market returns this Friday | Events
The Vanderburgh County Farm Bureau's Farmers Market is starting early this year with a Pre-Market Early Crop Days starting Friday May 3, and continuing on each Friday through Sept 27. The Market hours will be 8 AM to 1 PM each Friday. The Market will be offering Local grown produce, handmade crafts, fresh baked items, pet treats, Kettle Korn, homemade soaps plants , fresh flowers and herbs. This year breakfast and lunch items with coffee and drinks will be offered. Picnic tables are available for shoppers’ use.
Customers can visit the Deaconess Hospital booth at the Market each Friday for great health information, including weekly healthy recipes for in season fruits and vegetable. Wellness tips, screenings, and health -related services will rotate on a weekly basis. Deaconess will be giving away shopping bags to help carry home Market purchases.
The local Arts Council will be displaying and offering for sale the works of local artists, including painting, woodworking, ceramics and prints.
Musicians are invited to bring their instruments to the ''Jammers'' tent and join others for a ''jam'' session each Friday.
The Market is located at Sycamore and Second in the heart of Downtown Evansville.
