ShrinersFest 2012 Rollin’ On the River Car/Bike Show | Events

Car and motorcyle fans--and those who love good barbeque will gather Saturday on Evansville’s Riverfront for the kick-off event of ShrinersFest.   Up to 500 cars will be parked along the river as car and motorcycle enthusiasts throughout the region gather to show their pride-and-joy rides during this Bicentennial event.

Committees have been working for months to put together what the Shriners are calling a “day of fun and activities that are sure to appeal to all ages.”

The car show starts at 9 a.m. with prizes being given in several categories during mid-afternoon. The Bike show kicks off with a Poker Run with departing points at Bud’s Harley Davidson on Green River road, Big 4 Cycle in Newburgh and from the Pagoda on Evansville’s riverfront. This 80-100 mile ride will end at the Pagoda around noon with judging and prizes in multiple divisions.

Also the BBQ Contest will be running all day with teams competing for the winners trophy.

In conjunction with the Rollin’ on the River Car/Bike show there’s a Bass Tourney that kicks off Saturday morning at Angle Mounds boat ramp.
