In October 2010, Andrew Dam, then a sophomore at Signature School, wrote an essay sponsored by the Ground Zero Museum Workshop and its owner, official Ground Zero photographer Gary Marlon Suson. Dam's essay, 'What 9/11 Means to Me', was named the winner of the contest, which was open only to the top schools in the nation according to a Newsweek magazine ranking.
Suson then came to Signature School last spring to dedicate a collection of photographs. The exhibit is a collection of ten well-known Ground Zero images.
In commemoration of the ten-year anniversary of 9-11, the photo exhibit will be open for viewing on the sixth floor of Signature School from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11.
