Mayor, Rolling Thunder to serve as grand marshals for 4 Freedoms Parade | Events
Mayor Lloyd Winnecke and Rolling Thunder Indiana Chapter 6 will serve as the co-Grand Marshals for this year’s Four Freedoms Veterans Parade.
The annual event is scheduled for November 9 at 2:30 pm on Riverside Drive in Evansville.
The Co–Grand Marshals will be there to honor veterans as they pass the reviewing stand which will be at Riverside Drive and Walnut Street. This year, weather permitting, the parade will stop on Riverside Drive at the reviewing stand for a short ceremony to honor our veterans. During this ceremony, WWII navy veteran Sidney Hisel and great granddaughters Rosalie and Elizabeth Kerkhoff will lead the pledge of allegiance, Gina Moore will sing, recognition of Co-Grand Marshals, and dignitaries, and a few words from the Mayor and Parade Chairman.
In addition, the River City Thunderbolt MVCC will have a parade promotion event November 2 from 10 am until 2 pm at the west side Rural King at 2800 N Saint Joseph Ave, Evansville. There will be several restored military vehicles on display with the owners available to offer information about the vehicles. Parade promotional items will also be available to the public.
