Stealing from the Girl Scouts? How low can you go?

Evansville Police say they were called to the Girl Scouts of Southwest Indiana office on Northwest Second Street where someone apparently broke in over the weekend and stole some items from the scouts' store.

No word on exactly what was taken.

Stacey Godbold, Director of Communications and Community Relations, released this statement to 14 News:

"We recently reported that several items are missing from our retail shop in the council office. Following standard council procedure, a police report was filed. My understanding is that the value was minimal; however, whenever the council has a loss we take it very seriously since ultimately any loss for the council impacts our ability to serve girls."
