Night of Dreams Gala will help launch Ford Center

The Dream Center will host their Night of Dreams Gala at the new Ford Center in downtown Evansville this Friday, Oct. 14.

EVSC programs will continue thanks to large donation

Three core experience programs within the EVSC will be able to operate for the next three years, thanks to a $75,000 donation from Toyota Indiana.

Those programs include Tales and Scales, who had a performance and workshop on Monday morning at Caze Elementary School. In the hands on workshop, second graders used musical instruments to learn the dynamics of music.

Two other EVSC core experience programs will be funded by the donation, the B.L.A.S.T. Leadership conference, and the Honors Choral Festival.

The Verizon Foundation has donated $10,000 to the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library Foundation to train teachers and volunteers in Montessori methods to help area adults who are struggling with literacy skills.
