Three core experience programs within the EVSC will be able to operate for the next three years, thanks to a $75,000 donation from Toyota Indiana.

Those programs include Tales and Scales, who had a performance and workshop on Monday morning at Caze Elementary School. In the hands on workshop, second graders used musical instruments to learn the dynamics of music.

Two other EVSC core experience programs will be funded by the donation, the B.L.A.S.T. Leadership conference, and the Honors Choral Festival.

Thanks to a donation of an adaptive tricycle at the Culver Family Learning Center, one child – and others who may join classes in the future -- will have more to smile about as they join other students in the program on the mini bike path on the Culver playground.

Every year, members of UE's freshman class participate in a community-wide service project. The project gives students an opportunity to share their time and talents with nearly 20 nonprofit organizations. It also sparks, for many students, what becomes a passion for service that lasts throughout their college careers.
