Walk to End Alzheimer's set for Saturday on the riverfront | Community Spirit
The Alzheimer’s Association is inviting Tri-State residents to unite in a movement to reclaim the future for millions by participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Old National Bank, Downtown on the Riverfront will be the site of Walk this Saturday, September 21. Registration is at 9 a.m., and the walk begins at 10 a.m.
Walk to End Alzheimer’s is more than a walk. It is an opportunity for participants to learn about Alzheimer's and how to get involved with the fight to end the growing epidemic that is now the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death, effecting more than give million Americans living with Alzheimer’s.
In addition to the one mile course there will be a special tribute to those who have experienced Alzheimer’s, at 9:30.
