Berry Plastics subsidiary launches new pipe insulation product | Business

The makers of Nashua Tape Products, a manufacturer of commercial and residential HVAC products for more than 50 years and a brand of Evansville-based Berry Plastics has introduced a complete kit for insulating both indoor and outdoor pipes – just in time for winterization projects.

The convenient kit includes user-friendly materials needed to wrap and insulate both hot and cold pipes measuring between 1" to 6" in diameter. The insulation material has been designed to accommodate a variation in pipe diameter allowing users to maximize the insulation with less waste.

"Improving the energy efficiency of pipes is a way for homeowners to reduce energy loss and protect against needless cracks or damage that can result from the lack of insulation." says Mike Hill, Berry Plastics' vice president. "The convenience of having all of the right materials included in the Pipe Insulation Kit eliminates the guess work of product selection and allows the consumer or contractor to efficiently and effectively insulate exposed pipes," he adds.

According to the company, the kit includes everything needed for complete self-installation: easy to understand directions, 6" x 50′ reflective specialty pipe insulation which is used to wrap the pipe length and a roll of UV-resistant FlexFix film tape to seal and secure the insulation.

New Nashua Pipe Insulation Kits will be available for purchase at Ace Hardware and True Value locations this fall.
