Lake Rise Place offers free concert at Evansville Museum Sunday

On Sunday, May 20 at 2:00 p.m., a teen jazz/pop trio, Lake Rise Place, from the Nashville Tennessee area will perform a free concert in the Evansville Museum’s Old Gallery.

The group has decided to perform in Evansville because the drummer, Christian Kissinger, was born in Evansville and lived here for the first six years of his life, and he still has family in the area. Christian is the son of Eddie and Lori (Goodman) Kissinger, both from Evansville. Christian’s mother, Lori Kissinger, is a former Executive Director of the Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana.

The group is closely associated with the VSA program (formerly Very Special Arts) due to the fact that the keyboard player/vocalist, Elliott McClain, has been blind since birth. “Elliott’s talent and work ethic is truly an inspiration to anyone of any ability level, “ states Kissinger, “He is one of, if not the best, piano player I have ever heard and it is an honor to perform with him.”
