Sculpt EVV, a nationally-advertised, juried outdoor sculpture exhibition, and its Music Fest and Art Fair are coming to the Haynie’s Corner Arts District on Saturday, June 15. These combined events are a partnership between the City of Evansville and the University of Southern Indiana. Last year’s inaugural event was part of Evansville’s Bicentennial celebration.
Juror Lisa Freiman, senior curator and chair of the Indianapolis Museum of Arts contemporary arts division, selected 10 outdoor sculptures from all over the United States for the second annual Sculpt EVV. Freiman is a widely-recognized figure who has served as commissioner of the American pavilion in the 54th La Biennale de Venezia, an international exhibition in Italy.
\Sculpt EVV guided tours begin at 12:30 p.m. Saturday and continue until 3 p.m. The free tours, led by USI students, will begin at the information booth at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Parrett Street near the Bokeh Lounge, 1007 Parrett Street.
